Troubleshooting Carbonite Safe Server Backup

You might encounter a software error while using Carbonite Safe Server Backup (CSSB). No need to worry: we have a glossary of errors you might receive and steps to fix them:

Backup, restore and VSS errors
- One or more of the VSS writers required for backup have failed
- Disk Full Error
- One or more of the VSS writers required for backup type are missing
- Index creation failed
- Internal error appears when configuring a Microsoft SQL Server backup set
- The backup archive could not be read
- The VSS snapshot was deleted by the system
- Schedules could not be added or modified
- Failed to discover Exchange Mailboxes. Please give "Discovery management" permission to the Exchange login user
- One or more selected databases is not valid or is no longer accessible
- Files under junction point directories are not backed ip
- Failed to restore files
- Backup failed for too many files
- Writer's status is not stable for Oracle databases
- Validation of backup set failed for SharePoint backups
- Insufficient system resources exist
- Failed to create backup directory
- The backup set failed validation because it contains one or more junction point directories
- System State backups fail and event ID 8194 is logged
- A series of MySQL errors appear in the Windows application event logs
