This topic is for Carbonite Safe Server Backup
Carbonite Safe Server Backup (CSSB) works by creating backup sets for your computers, servers, and live databases applications. This section describes how to create a backup set and what's involved in the process.
What to back up
There are many things that you can back up with CSSB.
Each backup type has specific requirements. We've listed the available backup types below:
- Bare Metal Image backup
- File System backup
- System State backup
- Microsoft SQL backup
- Microsoft SharePoint backup
- MySQL backup
- Hyper-V backup
- Microsoft Exchange backup
- Exchange local mailbox backup
- Exchange Online for Office 365
- MailStore archive backup
You can also do Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive backups.
Removing Data
Normally data is removed from the cloud automatically when it expires, as defined by the retention policy. However, you can remove data from the cloud using the CSSB interface.
