Message: "Index Creation Failed"
Summary:
You receive an error message stating index creation failed.
A MySQL error similar to the following is logged in the LogFile.txt:
- 4512:3760:22/10/2012:12:38:11:368::[MySQL][ODBC 5.1 Driver][mysqld-5.0.41-community-nt]Can't create/write to file 'C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Temp\#sql_e80_0.MYI'(Errcode: 2)
Note: The default location of the LogFile.txt is as follows:
For existing users
- C:\Program Files\Carbonite\Carbonite Server Backup\Debug\ (for 32-bit operating systems)
- C:\Program Files\Carbonite\Carbonite Server Backup(x64)\Debug\ (for 64-bit operating systems)
For new users
- C:\Program Files\Carbonite\Carbonite Safe Server Backup\Debug\ (for 32-bit operating systems)
- C:\Program Files\Carbonite\Carbonite Safe Server Backup(x64)\Debug\ (for 64-bit operating systems)

Cause:
If Carbonite Safe Server Backup (CSSB) is unable to create or write to a file in the C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Temp\ directory, you will receive this error.
Solution:
To help resolve this problem, ensure the latest version of Carbonite Safe Server Backup is installed by following the instructions here.
- If you still receive this error after reinstalling, navigate to C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\ and create the \Temp\ directory that CSSB is unable to create or write to if it does not exist.
