Known Issue: Carbonite Safe Server Backup Service(s) Goes into a Bad State After Upgrading
Summary:
After upgrading to a new version, Carbonite Safe Server Backup service (s) goes into a bad state where the service (s) are stopped, deleting, missing, not running, or cannot be started.

Cause:
It is likely that the upgrade was not entirely successful.
Solution:
- Uninstall Carbonite Safe Server Backup from the system.
- During the uninstall process, you will be prompted if you wish to preserve configuration information. Say Yes.
- This will save all of your configuration settings and backup set information.
- After the uninstall finishes, restart the machine.
- This can clear out any services that may be stuck in a bad state.
- When the computer is back online, reinstall CSSB.
