Checking Your Backup Progress (Mac 1x)

If you are unsure about your backup status, you can check it from within the Carbonite software.

Solution:

Open Carbonite through your System Preferences or the Carbonite padlock icon in your menu bar:

• The Status tab will be displayed by default.
• The Idle status will be displayed when your backup is up to date or when Carbonite is preparing to backup.
• The Scanning for changed files status means Carbonite is looking for files to back up.
• Error statuses will be displayed on this tab if Carbonite is unable to connect to our servers.
• A Stuck at Registering status means that Carbonite needs to be reinstalled.

We recommend leaving your computer on until the initial backup finishes but Carbonite will always resume from where it left off if the backup is interrupted.
