Checking Your Backup Progress (Mac 2x)

Summary:

If you are unsure about your backup status, you can check it from within the Carbonite software.

Solution:

Open the Carbonite User Interface through your Applications or through the Carbonite green dot icon in the menu bar:

  • The Home tab will be displayed by default.
  • Recently backed up files will be displayed here.
  • Error statuses will be displayed here if there is a problem with the backup.
  • If the page seems unresponsive to commands, we recommend reinstalling Carbonite.

We recommend leaving your computer on until the initial backup finishes but Carbonite will always resume from where it left off if the backup is interrupted.
