Purchasing An Additional Carbonite Safe Subscription

Summary:

You can purchase a Carbonite Safe subscription for each computer that you’d like to back up.

Sign into your account at https://account.carbonite.com.
Under the Upgrade or Extend Your Backup section, click Upgrade / Add.
Select Add new subscription and click Next.
Select the Carbonite Safe plan and subscription length that is right for you.
- You will only be presented with options to upgrade within the Carbonite Safe plans. If you’d like more features, you can upgrade to Carbonite Safe Backup Pro plan.
Select the number of years you wish to purchase and click Add to Cart.
- You will receive discounts for multiyear subscriptions.
Review your Cart and select your preferred card for payment.
- When the subscription and payment information look good please click Review Order
Confirm the purchase and cart information are correct by check the box to validate the information and agree to Carbonite's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy and click Complete my purchase.
On the order confirmation screen you can elect to Print Receipt and or Continue to My Account where you can download the installer.
- After you successfully purchase Carbonite, Carbonite will send you an email with your order details.
Once in your account and on the backup tab there will now be an Install Now button in the Backup Additional Devices section.

Restore: The act of downloading your backed up files from our servers to your computer.
Back up: The act of uploading a copy of your files to our servers for safekeeping.
Backup: This is the copy of files that you've backed up to our servers.
InfoCenter: This is the Carbonite user interface on the Windows version of the product.
Carbonite Backup Drive (CBUD): this is your interface into what's in your backup and how you can restore files or remove files from your backup.
Dots: We place colored status dots on your files in order for you to quickly see what's backed up.
Frozen for safekeeping (freeze backup / frozen mode) : This is a state that you can place Carbonite in to let you safely restore your backup. While in this state, no files or changes will be backed up to our servers.
