Uninstalling Webroot Antivirus
Summary:
You can remove Carbonite from your computer by uninstalling it. If you uninstall Webroot, your computer will no longer be protected with malware or virus scans.

Solution:

Windows 10
- Click Start, or the Windows icon
- In the Search field, type "appwiz.cpl".
- Click appwiz.cpl.
- Select the Webroot SecureAnywhere and click Uninstall.
- Click Yes.
- Enter the requested characters and click Continue.
- Optional: In the pop-up select the reason for uninstalling and provide additional comments and click Send.
Webroot is now removed from your PC.
Windows 8
- Click Start, or the Windows icon.
- In the Search field, type "appwiz.cpl".
- Click appwiz.cpl.
- Select the Webroot SecureAnywhere line item and then click Uninstall.
- Click Yes.
- Enter the request characters and click Continue.
- Optional: In the pop-up, select the reason for uninstalling and provide additional comments and click Send.
Webroot is now removed from your PC.
Windows Vista/Windows 7
- Click Start, or the Windows icon.
- In the Search field, type "appwiz.cpl" (without quotes), then press Enter on your keyboard.
- Click appwiz.cpl.
- Select the Webroot SecureAnywhere line item and then click Uninstall.
- Click Yes.
- Enter the request characters and click Continue.
- Optional: In the pop-up, select the reason for uninstalling and provide additional comments and click Send.
Webroot is now removed from your PC.
Note: If you plan to reinstall Webroot, restart your computer after you uninstall it from your computer. After the computer is restarted, please reference the applicable article below:
