Carbonite Release Notes (Mac 1x)

Summary:

Carbonite Version 1.2.1 is the latest release for Mac 1x on Carbonite Safe and Safe Backup Pro plans.

Functionality and Usability Enhancements:

  • Fixed an issue where one of our client upgrade installers causes the backup to stop requiring another reinstall of the client to resume backup.

Carbonite version 1.2.0

Functionality and Usability Enhancements:

  • Fixed an issue where multiple Macintosh hard drives are displayed in the Restore tab.
  • Fixed an issue where files may not be displayed in the UI from the Desktop, Documents, or Downloads folders.
  • Added a warning message to inform users that they must close System Preferences before they can successfully uninstall the Mac 1.x client.

Carbonite version 1.1.25

Functionality and Usability Enhancements:

  • Fixed an issue where colored dots are not displaying in the Carbonite UI.
  • Fixed an issue where files are not displaying under the Carbonite UI’s Restore tab.

Known Issues:

  • When uninstalling the Mac 1.x client, Catalina users may experience an issue where an error message appears and the Carbonite icon is not removed from System Preferences. The Carbonite icon and the error message will disappear after closing and reopening System Preferences.

Functionality and Usability Enhancements:

  • Fixed an issue causing Carbonite to enter Recover Mode after upgrading to macOS Catalina.
  • Fixed an issue where files moved to the new dedicated system volume are no longer seen as missing after upgrading to macOS Catalina when not in Recover Mode.

Known Issues:

  • The Restore tab may appear blank or not show files
  • Attempting to install may trigger a warning that Carbonite can't be opened and needs to be updated.
