Backing Up OneDrive Files

Summary:

Depending on your settings, Microsoft OneDrive stores a local copy of your files on your computer. Carbonite automatically backs up this file in its default location.

  • C:\Users\[User_Name]\OneDrive

If you configured Microsoft OneDrive to a custom location that isn’t already backed up, you can manually select it:

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. Navigate to the location of the file.
  3. Right-click on the files and select Carbonite; Back this up.

Additional Information:

If OneDrive’s File On-Demand feature is enabled, Carbonite cannot back up your OneDrive files because they do not exist on your hard drive.
