Downgrading Your Carbonite Safe Subscription

Summary:

You can downgrade your Carbonite Safe Plus or Prime subscription to a lower-tiered plan if you no longer need the features of your current plan.

Solution:

1. Sign into your account at https://account.carbonite.com.
2. From the backup you want to downgrade, click Options > Change Plan.
   
   
3. Select the Carbonite Safe plan that is right for you by selecting the choose plan drop down.
   
4. Once you select your plan it will allow you to select the subscription length.
   
   
   • On this screen if you are downgrading it will detail the features you will be losing.
5. When you are ready, click Add to Cart to review your order.
6. From here, you can pay with the existing card or click add new card in the drop down to enter your new credit card information.
   
   
7. Click Complete my purchase to finalize your purchase.
   
   

After you successfully purchase Carbonite, Carbonite will send you an email with your order details. No further action is needed for the existing Carbonite backups to continue.
