Please note that for Carbonite version 2.x, files and folders in hidden directories such as the Library folder are not selected automatically. Therefore, items like Mac Mail and Calendar data may not be backed up by default. Additionally, music and video files are excluded during free trial subscriptions, and files larger than 4GB must be selected for backup manually. If your file extension contains a special character (e.g. _, *, #, etc.), you may not be able to select the file for backup with Carbonite.
