Resetting a Carbonite Client's Password

As a partner, you can send password reset emails to a client if they cannot log into their account.

To send a password reset email to a client, sign into your Partner Portal account at https://portal.carbonite.com or with the button below.

Sign In

After you are signed into your Partner account, click Manage my accounts within the Quick Links section for Carbonite Safe.

Next, select the account that the User belongs to.

For Carbonite Safe Pro clients, click the Manage computers & users link on the account summary to navigate to access your Safe Pro client's account dashboard. From the client's account dashboard, you can then Reset a User's Password. Please note, accessing a Safe Pro client's account dashboard requires you to have Administrator Access to the account.

For Carbonite Safe clients, select Reset Password, as shown below.

Partner Dashboard: Click Reset Password

A Reset Password window will appear. You will be able to send a password reset without any validation from the user.

Place a checkmark next to Allow password reset with no validation and click Submit to send the user a password reset email.

Portal: Yes, reset password and click Submit.

The user will then receive an email from Carbonite. The user should click Reset Password in the email to enter a new password for their account.
