Known Issue: Internet Connection Error Appears When Opening CSSB
Summary:
When opening CSSB an error box titled Internet Connection Error appears.
This most often occurs on systems running Windows Vista and Server 2008.

Power and Ultimate (Not sure?) | Carbonite Safe Server Backup (Not sure?) | Windows |
Cause:
On systems running Windows Vista and Server 2008, one or more MSN websites are shown in the sidebar in Windows Explorer. When CSSB is opened, it asks Windows for a list of drives and folders. Because the MSN website is listed in the sidebar, it is included in the list of drives and folders, even though it's a website.
This causes the Internet Connection Error to appear.
It is possible for this error to occur on other versions of Windows, if a website is added manually to the sidebar. However, only Windows Vista and Server 2008 include a website by default.
Solution:
Open Windows Explorer. Find the website or websites in the sidebar, and remove them.
