Exchange Database Backup Requirements

Summary:

Carbonite Safe Server Backup (CSSB) Exchange database backups have many requirements.

Solution:

For all versions except Exchange 2003, these requirements include the need for both .NET 4.0 and Powershell 2.0, or higher.

If you received the error message Exchange database backups require both .NET 4.0 and Powershell 2.0 or higher, please download and install the correct version from the links below.

• .NET 4.0 can be found at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851
• Powershell 2.0 is part of the Windows Management Framework, which can be found at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9239

Newer versions of both .NET and Powershell are also supported.
