Company actions

As a partner, you have actions you can take at the company level. These actions are not available to company administrators. They are only available to partners.

• Add company policy based on a non-base partner policy—As a partner, if you add a policy to a company using the instructions described in the Administrator Guide, the new policy is based on the partner policy. However, as a partner, you can add a policy to a company based on a non-base partner policy using the following instructions.
  1. Go to the Companies page and select a company.
  2. Click the Policies tab.
  3. Click Add policy set. This button is visible only to partners.
  4. A policy name is entered for you. Select one of following options:
     • Done—Click this button if you have not made any changes to the policy settings. One new policy is added using the name that was entered for you.
     • Save as—Click this button if you specified a different, unique policy name than what was entered for you. Two new policies are added: one using the name you specified and one using the name that was entered for you. If you have not changed the policy name, two new policies are added: one using the name entered for you and one with a number appended to the name entered for you.
     • Save policy—This button is available only when you have made a policy setting change. If you have specified a different, unique policy name than what was entered for you, one new policy is added using the name you specified. If you have not changed the policy name, one new policy is added using the name entered for you.

     If you selected either save option, click Done to return to the Policies tab, or click Continue editing to remain on the Edit policy details page.

• Convert trial company to activated company—Depending on your partner contract, you may have a quantity of licenses that you can allocate across the companies you create. Activated companies use licenses from your total quantity, however, trial companies do not count against it. Converting a trial company to an activated company means the devices associated with that company will start consuming licenses from the total.

  If you have permission to convert trial companies to activated companies, use the following instructions.

  1. Go to the Companies page and select a company.
  2. On the Company details tab, click Activate Company. This button is visible to partners if the company is a trial company. You must also have permission to convert trial companies to activated companies.
  3. Confirm you want to convert the company from trial to activated and click OK.
