How to Determine if Carbonite is Installed

You can check if Carbonite installed on your computer by checking the list of apps and features.

Solution:

Windows 10

  1. Right-click the Start icon and select Apps & Features.
  2. Scroll down the list of apps and look for Carbonite.
    Windows 10 Apps & Features: Click Uninstall

If Carbonite is listed, Carbonite is installed on your computer.

Windows 8

  1. Open the Windows start menu.
    • Windows 8.1: Right-click on the Start icon and select Programs and Features.
    • Windows 8: Hover the mouse in the bottom left corner until a thumbnail appears of the start screen. Right-click on the thumbnail and select Programs and Features.
  2. Scroll down the list of programs and look for Carbonite.
    Windows 10 Apps & Features: Click Uninstall

If Carbonite is listed, Carbonite is installed on your computer.

Windows 7

  1. Open the Start menu and select Control Panel.
  2. Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
  3. Scroll down the list of programs and look for Carbonite.
    Windows Programs and Features: Select Carbonite and click Uninstall

If Carbonite is listed, Carbonite is installed on your computer.

Next Steps:

If Carbonite is not installed, you can reinstall Carbonite (Safe | Pro) to resume your backup.

If Carbonite is installed, you can open Carbonite from the start menu and select additional files for backup, remove files from the backup, or setup a backup schedule.
